- Abstract
-
A fashionable young man, wearing a tophat and holding a whip, walks down the street in front of the doors to "Jaquier's Coffee House & Tavern." He looks over his shoulder at two ladies behind him on the left, one of whom seems to be calling out, hand raised. Walking towards him on the right are two other men, one in military uniform; a poodle trots beside them. Two boys watch the scene in the background on the right, from the doorway of the "Clarendon Hotel."
