- Abstract
-
"Thirteen colour double page woodblock maps, 35 x 20 cm, map sheet size 35 x 40cm. Later plain brown paper covered card covers, some worming though the damage is not significant, small area of East Asian regional map browned, occasional light soiling or marking. Apparently the third edition of this influential Japanese historical atlas of China traces Chinese history from early times through to the Qing Dynasty. This is one of two 1835 editions published; this particular one is unique because the introduction is a dedication to the author by one of his students. It also is dated 1789 twice in reference to the original first edition"--From vendor
