Description:
3.25 in. x 4 in. Lantern Slides, Original Magnification: x1,000, and The purpose of the technique was to isolate a population of viable single pancreatic acinar cells that were representative of the acinar cells from the entire gland. An additional benefit of a slurry of individual cells was rapidity and ease of washing and manipulation of the cell suspension. The technique employed mild collagenase digestion and trituration of the digested guinea pig pancreas. Functional and morphologic characterization is described in the paper.
