A man stands at the back of the carriage in the place of a footman, pointing with his left forefinger and saying, "Whip hard, Geordie". The driver, who holds reins attached to the noses of the wheelers, answers, "Dam it ['Get on' Kay] I'll not spare them Willie"; he flicks his whip over the heads of his team.
