Abstract:
Charles Fox, in an armor and holding the "Shield of Truth," raises broken sword to fight a many-headed monster representing William Pitt and his supporters. In the background, a party of armed "English" and "Irish" gathered under the "Standard of Universal Liberty" decorated with an image of Britannia, watches with approval. Behind the monster, four men representing foreign powers caper with joy around the "Standard of sedition."

"The Duchess of Devonshire (right), in morning cap and gown, makes tea for Fox and Sam House who sit side by side on a sofa (left). The duchess leans back in her chair, one hand on the tap of the urn, while she hands a cup to a footman who stands with a tray. Sam (left) has been served first; he sits stirring his tea and gazing adoringly at Fox (right), who playfully pats his bald head. A spaniel stands in front of them, begging. On the wall behind are two freely sketched whole length portraits: behind the duchess is Reynolds's portrait of her husband standing by his horse (as in British Museum Satires No. 6546), the other is over the heads of House and Fox."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
A large and animated procession approaches the Grocers' Hall on the left, led by musicians and Wilkes who tosses coins to the crowd. In the first of the three coaches, shown as a child's or an invalid's chair, sits Sir Watkin Lewes, alderman and M.P. for the City, in the central one rides Pitt, behind him Sir Barnard Turner, alderman and Sheriff. The windows of the buildings are filled with spectators. On the right, above the vitrine to "Neat Wines" shop, hangs a large portrait of Lord Chatham. A burlesque rendition of the procession that took place on February 28.

Abstract:
"An election mob in which Townshend and his supporters, as butchers, are violently attacking the populace with cleavers and marrow-bones. They wear aprons with butchers' steels dangling from the waist. George Hanger (right), his hat decorated with three ostrich feathers and the coronet of the Prince of Wales, raises a cleaver in both hands and threatens two constables with staves who fall backwards, wounded or terrified. He is in violent action, one foot rests on the unconscious body of a sailor whose face is gashed and bleeding. In the sailor's hand is a flag with a ship and the words 'Royal Navy'; on this Townshend, who uses his marrow-bone and cleaver as a musical instrument, not as weapons, is trampling. Behind Hanger, Fox, climbing above the crowd, is violently smashing the sign of 'The King's Head' (a bust portrait of the King) which is over a door inscribed 'Martin'. In the foreground a woman half-lying on the ground tries to protect her screaming infant from a cleaver and bone brandished by Sheridan. On the extreme left Lord Derby attacks a kneeling sailor with a wooden leg. Behind Sheridan, Burke raises a cleaver in both hands, and behind him the Duke of Norfolk waves a flag inscribed 'Townsend and Liberty'. Behind is a dense crowd brandishing cleavers and bones, while others attempt to escape. On the right are houses inscribed 'James Str[eet]', the houses of Covent Garden are indicated on the left."--British Museum online catalogue

Abstract:
William Pitt, acting as an auctioneer in the dissoluted Parliament, sells from the rostrum decorated with Royal Arms "useless valuables," such as "Magna Charta." Cornwall, the Speaker sitting below the rostrum, records bids in the "Sundry acts." In front of him stands Thurlow in Chancellor's robes making dismissive comment on "nonsensical bidings of those common fellows," i.e. members of the House of Commons who leave through the door on the left. Last of them, Fox, turns back vowing to bid "with spirit" for lot 1, "rights of the people in 558 vol." held on display by Henry Dundas. A reference to the dissolution of the Parliament by the King on March 25.

Abstract:
The disproportionately large heads in wigs of, from left, Lord North, Charles Fox, and Edmund Burke, are displayed on top of Temple Bar. The arch contains reversed and burlesqued royal arms. In three niches below the arch stand headless statues of, from left, North as Avarice, Fox, shown as a fox, as Ambition, and Burke as Hypocrisy. The declaration signed by 'Justice' and pasted to the gate in the archway explains the reasons for elevating the three Whigs so highly, in a manner reminiscent of the execution of the Jacobite leaders in 1746. On the left are pasted two playbills. The upper one refers to the King's candidates in the Westminster election, the lower one to Fox as Cromwell, North as Boreas, and Burke as St. Omer, a 7th-century bishop who became blind in his old age. On the opposite side of the archway, an advertisement by 'Dr. Ax' is followed by a plea for votes from Cerberus whose three heads are named after North, Burke, and Fox

Abstract:
An enormous weathercock, with a huge dice for the base, stands mounted on top of a roof of a large building. Above its four arms with compass points is a dice box and another dice on top of it. From this dice protrude the heads of Charles Fox on the left and Lord North on the right. To the spike above them attached is a card with the knave of hearts. Fox's head, with a long barbed arrow coming out of his mouth, looks towards 'E' commenting on the failure of the East India bill. North's face is oriented toward 'N.' A huge fox's brush comes out of his mouth instead of the boreal blow
