The Prince stands dismayed, with his right fingers to his mouth. On a table beside him (left) are two (?) mustard-pots and a bottle of 'Cantharides'. On the wall showing between the curtains of the bed is a picture of Leda and the swan. The bed is ornate with fringed curtains, and the Prince of Wales' feathers and motto at the head.
