- A plaque with two seashells adorning the top ends and two shells and a starfish completing the bottom. Moving down, there is a window looking out at trees and a steeple in the distance. Beneath this is a bookshelf with several shelves of books and various items on the top shelf. In the foreground is a coat of arms. A large flower is on either side of the plaque. In the middle, alongside the plate owner's name, are two circles with microscopic creatures inside. Beneath this is the image of a ship on the high seas dragging a net amongst 27 various marine creatures in the water.

This library was founded by Bern Dibner in 1941 and contains books on the History of Science. After Dibner's death in 1988, the collection was divided between the Smithsonian, MIT, and the Huntington.
