Manuscript on parchment (poor quality: heavily speckled, thick, holes, end pieces) of a collection of anonymous sermons. Written perhaps at the Cistercian abbey of Hautecombe

In Latin.
Script: Written by multiple scribes in a cramped and highly abbreviated gothic bookhand, above top line.
Crude initials, 5- to 2-line, red with uninspired penwork designs in black and/or red. Rubrics and notes for rubricator. Paragraph marks in red or stroked with red.
Binding: Between 1800 and 1810, Italy. Half bound in brown calf with bright pink paper sides and a green gold-tooled label: "Sermones de Incarn. Uarii Manuscript". A second label covered by a paper one. Edges spattered blue-green. The same distinctive bindings also found on Marston MSS 50, 125, 135, 151, 153, 158, 159, and 197, all of Hautecombe provenance. - Provenance
- Purchased in 1957 from C. A. Stonehill by Thomas E. Marston.
