Full leather case with jewel medallion motif
Daniel Showalter was a member of California state assembly, representing the 6th District, Mariposa County, 1857-58, 1861-62, and a pro-Confederate secessionist during the Civil War. The unidentified Native American or Chicano man is also depicted in Items 198 and 199 - Provenance
