In Latin.
Script: Copied by two hands: (A) copied art. 1 in small, highly abbreviated Gothica Semitextualis Currens with some southern features; (B) copied artt. 2-3 in a small Gothica Textualis Libraria.
Decoration: Headings in red; alternately red and blue paragraph marks; alternately red and blue 3-line flourished initials, half-inserted, with penwork in the contrasting colors; half-inserted painted initials of various sizes and colors; historiated 8-line initial (damaged) at the head of Book I in the same colours and gold, representing the author; and a circular diagram of the lunar month on f. 131r.
Binding: Sixteenth century, blind-tooled quarter binding of brown leather and bevelled wooden boards, sewn on three double thongs, and decorated with rolls; two clasps attached to the front board, associated with decorated brass catches on the rear board. - Provenance
