Abstract: An ugly man (left) and procuress in a hooded cloak (center) haggle over the price for a young, fashionably dressed prostitute (right) who holds a fan in her left hand. The procuress has her one hand on the man's left hand with her other hand on the young woman's shoulder as they look at the man counting out the coins. On the right is an open doorway in the background. On the wall above the procuresses head is a sconce with two short candles, both at the same level
