Abstract: Lord North, with an expression of anxious anticipation, applies white paint to Charles Fox's left cheek while Fox, his face inscrutable, descends the last step to the floor of the House of Commons taking North's left hand. A dog looks up at North. The inscription below the design reads, "--Qui color ater erat nunc est contrarius atro, Translated for the Country Gentlemen, "I have found him a warm Friend a fair though formidable Adversary."
