A treatise on Islamic law, according to the Ḥanafī school, by Ḥasan ibn ʻAmmār al-Shurunbulālī (1585 or 1586-1659), a prolific Egyptian Ḥanafī Islamic law scholar, a graduate of al-Azʹhar, being a commentary on his own work "Nūr al-īḍāḥ". Copied on a Wednesday in the year 1114 Hijrī [1703 or 1704] by Ḥasan Ḥubayshī al-Ḥanafī ibn al-Ḥājj Hilālī al-shahīr bi-Ibn al-Ḥijāzī, in Dimyāṭ (Damietta, Egypt).

Colophon: "Katabahu li-nafsihi al-ʻabd al-faqīr wa-al-mudhnib al-ḥaqīr al-muqirr bi-al-taqṣīr al-rājī ʻafwa rabbihi al-qadīr Ḥasan Ḥubayshī al-Ḥanafī ʻāmalahu Allāh taʻālá bi-luṭfihi al-khafī wa-ajrāhu Allāh ʻalá ʻawāyid birrihi al-khafī ibn al-marḥūm al-Ḥājj Hilālī al-shahīr bi-Ibn al-Ḥijāzī bi-Dimyāṭ, ghafara Allāh la-hu wa-li-wālidayh wa-li-wālid wālidayh wa-li-man qaraʼa fīhi wa-li-man samiʻahu wa-li-man ṣaḥḥaḥa fīhi laḥnahu wa-li-man daʻā la-hu bi-al-raḥmah wa-al-riḍwān. Wa-kāna al-farāgh min hādhā al-kitāb fī yawm al-Aḥad al-mubārak alladhī huwa min shuhūr sanat alf wa-miʼah wa-arbaʻat ʻashar. Wa-ṣallá Allāh ʻalá Sayyidinā Muḥammad wa-ʻalá ālihi wa-ṣaḥbihi wa-sallam. Wa-al-ḥamdu lillāh Rabb al-ʻĀlamīn. Wa-qad tamma bi-khayr."
In clear naskh script, in black ink on glossy white paper; with keywords and markings in red; many wormholes, mainly on the margins, with some loss of text; catchwords.
Incipit: "Bismillāh al-Raḥmān al-Raḥīm wa-bi-hi nastaʻīn. al-Ḥamdu lillāh alladhī sharrafa khulāṣat ʻibādihi bi-wirāthat ṣafwatih khayra ʻibādih wa-amaddahum bi-al-ʻināyah fa-aḥsanū li-dhātihi al-ʻibādah wa-ḥafiẓū sharīʻatahu wa-ballaghūhā ʻibādah ... Wa-baʻd fa-yaqūlu al-ʻabd al-dhalīl al-rājī ʻafwa rabbihi al-jalīl Ḥasan ibn ʻAmmār ibn ʻAlī al-Shurunbulānī al-Ḥanafī ... Inna hādhā kitāb ṣaghīr ḥajmuhu ghazīr ʻilmuhu ... wa-sammaytuhu Marāqī al-falāḥ bi-imdād al-Fattāḥ sharḥ Nūr al-īḍāḥ wa-najāt al-arwāḥ."
On folio 1a, a note by one of the readers of the manuscript: "Ṭālaʻ ʻAbd al-Wahhāb Ṣūfī fī hādhā al-kitāb sanat 1263 [1846/1847], fataḥa Allāh ʻalayhi. Āmīn."
On folio 1a: "Hādhā Sharḥ Nūr al-īḍāḥ wa-najāt al-arwāḥ lil-Shaykh al-ʻālim al-ʻallāmah wa-al-baḥr al-fahhāmah shaykh mashāyikh al-Islām Sayyidī Ḥasan al-Shurunbulānī al-Ḥanafī taghammadahu Allāh bi-al-raḥmah wa-al-ruḍwān. Āmīn."

Translation of the colophon: "Copied by the poor servant, for himself, he who admits his sin and deficiency and hopes for the forgiveness of his Almighty God, Ḥasan Ḥubayshī al-Ḥanafī the son of the departed al-Ḥājj Hilālī al-shahīr bi-Ibn al-Ḥijāzī, in Dimyāṭ [Damietta, Egypt], may God treat him according to His hidden kindness and lead him unto the paths of His hidden righteousness. May God forgive him, his parents and the father of his parents and those who read this book, those who listen to it, those who correct its mistakes, and those who invoke God to grant him [the copyist] mercy and acceptance. The copying of this book was completed on blessed Sunday [name of the month not mentioned] of the year 1114 [1703 or 1704]. May God pray on our Master Muḥammad, his family and his companions and grant them peace. Praise be to God the Lord of the Universe. It is finished with success."

الخاتمة: "كتبه لنفسه العبد الفقير والمذنب الحقير المقر بالتقصير الراجي عفو ربه القدير حسن حبيشي الحنفي عامله الله تعالى بلطفه الخفي وأجراه الله على عوايد بره الخفي ابن المرحوم الحاج هلالي الشهير بابن الحجازي بدمياط، غفر الله له ولوالديه ولوالد والديه ولمن قرأ فيه ولمن سمعه ولمن صحح فيه لحنه ولمن دعا له بالرحمة والرضوان. وكان الفراغ من هذا الكتاب في يوم الأحد المبارك الذي هو من شهور سنة ألف ومائة وأربعة عشر. وصلى الله على سيدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه وسلم. والحمد لله رب العالمين. وقد تم بخير."
