Abstract: "'Cits' gallop (right to left) across a rough field near London, with one or two mongrel dogs under the horses' hooves. One leaps a small piece of water over the head of a man who has fallen in. A fat man is flung upwards from his prostrate horse. In the background is a 'cit's country box' surrounded by a wall, above which projects a gazebo, in the Chinese taste (cf. No. 8208 by Bunbury). Tiny figures watch from a window and from the wall. Near the wall ride two little chimney-sweeps on an ass, and a woman on a broken-kneed horse."--British Museum online catalogue
