Consists of the "interior of a dispensary where the viscount has brought his child-mistress to visit M.de la Pillule whose remedy has not cured her venereal disease; a large, well-dressed woman (perhaps a procuress) looks angrily at the young man and opens a knife, while the quack polishes his glasses; the room contains numerous medical and scientific objects, including machines for straightening shoulders and for drawing corks, a dried crocodile, a narwhal's tusk, and two mummies."--British Museum online catalogue
