From left to right, the Dean's Committee are: Dr. Y.P. Mei, Dean of the College of Arts & Letters, Dr. Cheng-hsin Chao, Dean of the College of Public Affairs, Miss Ruth Stahl, Acting Dean of the Women's College, Dr. C.F. Wu, Acting Dean of the College of Natural Sciences, Dr. Chia-tung Lin, Director of Studies. Dr. Wu and Miss Stahl wear Western dress, the rest Chinese. They stand in a courtyard with trees and shrubs at left and rear, and buildings on all sides.
Yenching University was later known as Yanjing da xue.
