The back of the postcard contains a handwritten message in French, with a printed address for the publisher: "Edit. des Missions Evangeliques, 102, b. Arago, Paris." The Société des Missions Evangéliques was a Protestant organization known in English as the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society.
