Description
1. - DAHOMEY - Le Temple des Serpents a OUIDAH - Missions Africaines de Lyon. ("The Temple of the Snakes at OUIDAH.") A man stands alone in front of very long hut holding a large curved plate on top of his head. The structure is made almost entirely of sticks and branches and has at least two separate entrances. Postcard issued by the "Coll. Propagation de la Foi." Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "L'Oeuvre de la Propagation de la Foi soutient les Missions Catholiques du monde entier - Envoyer votre offrande par Cheques Postaux, Paris 618.25, Lyon 72.71 - Propagation de la Foi, Paris-5, rue Cassette (VIe), Lyon-12, rue Sala." ("The Work of the Propagation of the Faith supports the Catholic Missions of the whole world - To send your offering by Postal cheques, Paris 618.25, Lyon 72.71 - Propagation of the Faith, Paris-5, rue Cassette (VIe), Lyon-12, rue Sala.")
