Description
Algerie et Kabylie - Kabylie - Jeune femme et fillette se rendant a la fontaine. ("Algeria and Kabylie - Kabylie - young woman and young girl going to the fountain.") An indigenous woman dressed in white wearing a large necklace carries a water jug on her back. Next to her a small girl dressed in dark clothes also carries a jar on her back. Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive. The back of the postcard is blank and contains printed information about the publisher: "Soeurs Missionnaires de N.-D. d' Afrique, St-Charles - Edition G.-L. ARLAUD - LYON, Repr. interdite." The Missionary Sisters of Our Lady of Africa were a Catholic missionary order.
