The back of the postcard has a handwritten note in French and contains information about the mission agency: "9 Missions Evangeliques, 102, Boul. Arago, Paris-14" Zambeze- La salutation indigene ("The indigenous greeting") Two girls dressed in traditional clothing are standing outside, balancing pots on their heads performing the traditional greeting as one girl kisses the other's hand.
