Abstract: In the top half of the image, three soldiers in full dress uniform assume exaggerated, ballet-like poses, their rifles in hand; each pose is identified above, left to right: 'shoulder arms', 'present arms', and order arms'. In the lower half, two soldiers also pose: 'charge bayonet' and 'at ease'.
