Inscribed on verso with notes in Horace Walpole's hand: This portrait of Miss Mary Latham of [illegible] in Kent was drawn about the year 1750 by the celebrated James Ferguson of whom[?] see an account in the 3 vol. of Lysons's invitational of London.
