Charles Last, bugler, 25th Ill., aged 35, admitted to Harewood U.S.A. Gen'l Hospital, from Hampton Hospital, Sept. 13, 1865, convalescent from gunshot fracture of right thigh, upper third, ball entering from outerside. Wounded by guard at Washington, D.C.—conical ball—at short range June 7, 1865. On admission to this hospital, the fractured part was united and patient able to be about on crutches. Constitutional state of patient, at time of injury, good; treatment, splint and counter extension; result, favorably. The patient is doing very well, and in a fair way of having a good limb.
