Abstract: While four children of various ages feed themselves and each other different kinds of candy from round boxes, a mother with an infant in her lap wards off an approaching peddler with a large candy box which emits beams of light. The bearded peddler approaches from a winter landscape, and carries a cane in his hand and boxes on his back marked "influenza," "rhume," "catarrhe," "bronchite," and "grippe".
