From British Museum catalogue: First state: lettered with the title and '326 // Printed for Carington Bowles, No. 69 in St. Paul's Church Yard, London. Publish'd as the Act directs, 12 Feb. 1781.' (Second state) republished; publisher's name altered to 'Bowles and Carver'. Third state: Date erased from the plate.

Bound in half red morocco with marbled paper boards and spine title "Facetious" in gold lettering.
