Description: "A shop, restaurant, & house. III. Earthquake at Swatow [Shantou] Feb. 13, 1918." All that is left of most of the buildings depicted here is a pile of rubble. The roofs have entirely caved in because of the earthquake. Some people stand in front of the pile and survey the damage.
