Description: "A Hindu worshipper feeding ants. Although the majority of Hindus are very poor, yet they do these things, believing they may be feeding their dead relatives." A Hindu man bends down to feed ants. He is not wearing a shirt. This photograph is from an album prepared by W. K. Norton of The Pilgrims Mission, Benares [Vārānasi].
