Description
"Les Capucins francais aux Indes (4e Série). La Mission du Sacré Coeur au Rajputana [Rajasthan]. 9. - Un éléphant tout harnaché pour figurer dans une procession La tête est peinte, les broderies du baldaquin sont en or." An elephant is harnessed to appear in a procession. A man steers the elephant in front of a covered box on top of the elephant for people to sit in. The embroidery of the canopy is gold and the head of the elephant is painted. Additional information on the back directs monetary offerings to Paris, France. There is a handwritten note on the back of this postcard.
