The same woodcut (2 figures either side of a mother with children) is used in ESTC T36852 which has a Thomas Saint imprint. The English Broadside Ballad Archive (EBBA) suggests Thomas Saint was probably active 1761-1788.
In four columns with the title and woodcut above the first two; columns 1 & 2 and columns 3 & 4 are separated by ornamental rules.
Artist's signature in woodcut: Sculp. J.W.
Previously identified by Wing as a London imprint with a conjectural date of 1700. Not in Foxon, D.F. English verse, 1701-1750.
Mounted on leaf 7. Copy trimmed.
Bound in three-quarters red morocco leather with marbled boards, with spine title stamped in gold: Old English ballads, woodcuts, vol. 1.
