Verse begins: "You maidens all, I pray give ear," In four columns with the title and illustrations above the first two; the columns are not separated by rules; the imprint is at the foot of the last column, beneath a single rule. In this edition the two woodcuts from left to right depic a child and a woman playing a piano. Imprint below fourth column. Mary Bowley is not recorded as printing before 1799. See Maxted, I. Bound in three-quarters red morocco leather with marbled boards, with spine title stamped in gold: Old English ballads, woodcuts, vol. 1.
