Verse begins: "Now ponder well, ye parents dear," In five columns with the title over the first two and with six woodcuts, one to each column but with two to the fourth; the columns are not separated by rule; the imprint is at the foot of the last column, below a single rule. Dated from the address; see David Stoker, "John Marshall, John Evans, and the Cheap Repository tracts, 1793-1800", PBSA 107:1 (2013), 81-118. Mounted on leaf 19. Copy trimmed. Bound in three-quarters red morocco leather with marbled boards, with spine title stamped in gold: Old English ballads, woodcuts, vol. 1.
