Verse - "Come, open the door, sweet Betty,". In four columns with the title, preliminary verse and two woodcuts above the first two; the columns are separated by columns of type ornaments. The preliminary verse, in two short columns, begins with "Late in the night when all was fast,". Date of publication from ESTC. Mounted on leaf 60. Copy trimmed. Bound in three-quarters red morocco leather with marbled boards, with spine title stamped in gold: Old English ballads, woodcuts, vol. 1.
