Abstract: Organ part, holograph, with blank staves for voices, signed by Gounod on cover and initialed by him on several pages. The cover is annotated in an unidentified hand: "Propriété de la paroisse de St. François-Xavier, maître de chapelle Joseph Franck".
Description: The composer Charles Gounod was appointed maître de chapelle at the Séminaire des Missions Etrangères, Paris, in 1843.
Jean-Hubert-Joseph Franck, violinist, composer, and organist; younger brother of César Franck; succeeded Gounod as organist at the Séminaire des Missions Etrangères.
