Manuscript on paper, in a single mixed hand, containing a copy of an edition of William Penn's Some Fruits of Solitude. This version has 467 numbered precepts, aphorisms, and moral observations

Manuscript also contains 5 p. of notes on "soldiery."

Description
Six additional aphorisms, numbered 468-473, added at the end of the text in a later hand.
Stationer's label on back pastedown: "Sold by Robert Paske Stationer in the Piatza on ye North side of the Royal Exchange London." Date added in manuscript: "1690."
Binding: 17th c. black morocco, elaborately tooled with gilt, red and blue (in "Queens' Binder B" style); remains of clasps. Marbled endpapers.
