Manuscript on parchment of Psuedo-Beda Venerabilis, Homiliae, 3.118
- Description
-
In Latin.
Script: copied by one hand in Caroline script, using only the st- and et-ligatures and writing the diphthong ae.
A small red plain initial E (Uncial) on line 2 of f. 1r. At left in the upper margin of f. 1r a somewhat later hand has written “Probacio penne”. The fold in the inner margin, with its sewing holes, and several rusty holes in the margins show that the leaf has been used as an endleaf in a later (printed?) book; the large rusty hole in the center of the upper margin proves that the latter was chained. - Extent
- f. 1 : 270 x 190 mm.
