11 ALS from J. B. Tucker, apparently the senior partner, advising his brother on various business decisions and detailing his future plans for the business. Six letters were sent from Port Lavaca to Corpus Christi and three from Maryland while J. B. was purchasing a schooner for a business. Subsequent letters were sent from Brazos Santiago and New Orleans after his schooner was pressed into service during the United States military’s march to Vera Cruz in 1847.
