Type ornament precedes the title on the title page which also has three Biblical quotations, one within a woodcut cartouche.
Woodcut arms on the verso of the title page.
Text in a single column of roman letter, set within commentary in two columns in small roman and italic. Cf. Mortimer, R. French 16th cent.
Criblé initials.
Thirteen full page woodcut illustrations attributed to Geoffroy Tory, Jean Jollat, Jacquemin Woeiriot or Oronce Finé. The woodcut on leaf 48v is identified as by Geoffroy Tory with the Lorraine cross.
Printed for Colin himself and for the L'Angelier brothers. There is a separate issue with the L'Angelier imprint, and one with both Colin and L'Anglier in the imprint.
