Paul before Felix, showing St. Paul (left) on trial before Felix, governor of Caesarea; Felix, his wife Drusilla (a Jewess), and two priests on a dais, one sitting, asleep, beside the governor; two clerks in front of the bench at which St. Paul stands, with a small group of women looking up at Paul; the figure of Tertullus with a scroll in his hand stands at a bench to the right; a soldier to the left with a spear; and two figures carrying fascae either side of the dais. A group of spectators look down from a balcony on the left high above the scene

State inferred from Paulson. State with altered publication line (Paulson's state 2) but without added quotations (Paulson's state 3). No gap in publication line caused by the curlicue under 'trembled'.
