A satire on William Dodd, the scandalous "macaroni parson". Dodd (or perhaps the actor in Samuel Foote’s play The Cozeners, which represented Dodd through the character Doctor Simony) is depicted with all the trappings of his "macaroni" lifestyle, including wine, women and tobacco

Imperfect; sheet trimmed within plate mark resulting in loss of imprint statement from bottom edge; trimmed at the corners. Imprint supplied from impression at the Library of Congress, call no.: PC 3 - 1777 - Revd. Dr. Simony (A size) [P&P].
Eight lines of verse in two columns below image, four on either side of title: The figure here, you see exprest, May serve for each luxurious priest, The cork screw proves he loves a glass, The slippers too, a buxom lass, The pipe, - at night he loves to smoke, And o’er the bottle crack a joke, While knife & steel, at once declare, He loves good eating - more than prayer.
