A young woman stands in a city street singing, a scroll with music in her one hand; beside her is a young girl who plays a triangle. The two performers are surrounded by a happy looking crowd of working class and poor citizens -- men, women and children -- smiling at the duo, some of whom seem to be singing along. A older woman holds a basket over their arms with a mug dangling from the handle; a young boy also with a basker stands with his dog looking on with awe. In the background on either side are buildings including a church tower
