"A lady stands on a mound in profile to the left; a young military officer (left) fires a cannon from an embrasure, while another fires a trench-mortar at her from behind. Her dress caricatures the fashion for a very projecting breast, and a large protuberance at the back of the petticoats. She wears a hat with an enormous brim, her hands are in a large fur mutt. She resembles Mrs. Fitzherbert. At the foot of the mound a Cupid uses his arrow to undermine the ground on which she stands. Beneath the title is engraved: 'In vain Before the Fair one Arms, With Breastworks high her panting charms, In vain Behind yon Mount is plac'd, Which Wits may say is Bum proof cas'd, Ifparts More Weak to guard she fails, Where artful Love by Mine assails.
