Abstract:: Twenty-six manuscript sermons written by Samuel Wales, Milford and New Haven, Connecticut, 1771-1784 and n.d., with several sermon fragments; and fourteen manuscript documents concerning Wales's position as professor of divinity at Yale College and his health problems, 1781-1793. Documents include several ALS and drafts of letters signed by Ezra Stiles, president of Yale College. Also included are two ALS written by Wales, one dated 1792 May 7, relinquishing part of his salary due to illness.
