A series of eighteen original photographs depicting aspects of life in Zanzibar in the 1890s and early 1900s by A. C. Gomes & Co., Zanzibar; each are stamped with some manuscript identifications on the verso.
A portfolio of botanical images all identified as being by, or attributed to, C. Vincenti of Dar es Salaam and dated from 1896 to 1910. The portfolio comprises a series of studies of some of the trees, fruits, and crops indigenous to the coastal area of German East Africa, together with agricultural crops such as sisal, sugar and tobacco which were introduced.
