- Admiral de Grasse stands up to his waist in a large barrel, saying "I shall never more love the Englishmen's sugar and gunpowder." On the left stands an English naval officer with cutlass in hand, and on the right an English sailor. Refers to De Grasse's defeat by Rodney when the French attempted to raid Jamaica in 1782

- "An English sailor (left) with clenched fists faces Holland, France, Spain, and America, all but the first appearing "hors de combat". Numbers indicate the names of the 'Four Confederates which are given below the design. (1) America (right), "Yanky Doodle", an Indian brave with a feathered head-dress and girdle, is prone on the ground, his spear beside him; he says "This fall has hurt my Back". (2) France or "Monsieur Louis Baboon" dressed as a French fop with a bag-wig, is vomiting, his hand across his breast, his knees bent; he says, "Dem Jersey Pills have made a me Sick". (3) Spain or "Don Diego", dressed as a Spanish don, is bleeding from one eye, he stands behind America, saying "by St Jago he has almost Blinded me". These three are grouped together on the left, turning away from Jack England. No. 4 or "Mynheer Frog", dressed as a Dutch peasant, is standing with his legs wide apart, his fists clenched, smoking a pipe, he faces Jack, saying "I have almost forgot how to fight". He wears a crowned hat, a handkerchief knotted round his neck, and wide, knee-length trousers. He scowls threateningly. The Frenchman, very thin, stands facing him, in profile to the left; he grins, saying "Ha! Ha! we beata You": the Englishman answers "you Lie". The Frenchman wears a feathered hat, ruffled shirt, long trousers, and a cutlass. His hair is in a very long pigtail queue, tied with a bow of ribbon. - Admiral Rodney is depicted receiving the submission of the defeated De Grasse after the Battle of the Saints, as English sailors bring ashore the spoils of war, and chagrined politicians Fox, Keppel, and the Duke of Richmond look on from the left, with Sandwich and North behind them. Contrasts the new ministry's hostility to the popular Rodney with the rewarding of the incompetent Keppel (Admiral "Lee-shore.").
