The first 14 volumes contain 5513 numbered entries; vol. 15, titled "Collectanea", consists of 651 brief biographical notes in Latin, followed by Bracken's thesis on "The Doctrine of the Resurrection," read before the Senate of the University of Glasgow in 1791 for the LL.D. degree; Bracken was Vicar of Snaith and Master of the Grammar School there.
