Two armchairs upholstered in floral fabric sit on either side of the door. The chair on the left sits next to Japan cabinet with two branched candlesticks and the basalt head of Jupiter Serapis (?) on top of it; a vase decorated with arms and the ring device of the Medici rests beneath it. The chair on the right sits next to a Japan coffer on a gilt frame, a vase of Florentine fayence beneath it. On the wall above the door hangs the portrait of Margaret Lemon. Further left on the wall a landscape painting is partially visible; the left half of Nicolo Poussin's painting The education of Jupiter can be seen hanging on the wall to the right.
