First campus building to be built beyond Old Campus. Designed by Chauncey A. Dickerman. Also served as a dining hall, 1892-1901, and Herrick Hall, 1902-1917.
The description of this slide reflects the way that Erdoes organized 35mm slides. Erdoes arranged his slides in labeled containers that were sub-divided into labeled sections. The title for this image has been transcribed from its sub-section label; images of other slides from the same sub-section share the container title. The date listed here reflects a span of known dates associated the sub-section. In some cases, titles have been expanded to note particular individuals who appear frequently and who were identified by Erdoes in captions. Individual slide captions have not been transcribed or captured during digitization.

Abstract:
Lantern slides of photographs that chiefly document an expedition led by Samuel Prescott Fay in the northern Canadian Rockies from Jasper, Alberta, to Hudson's Hope, British Columbia, from June to November 1914. The expedition received financial support from the United States Bureau of Biological Survey to collect and record wildlife species in the region, as well as determine the northern range of Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. The lantern slides were probably created to illustrate lectures delivered by Fay in 1915.
