Collection includes postcard photographs created by commercial and amateur photographers of locations and events related to United States military involvement in the Mexican Revolution, ca. 1910-1917.
" (4) The Yunnan end of the road had a number of canyons like this, some of them like miniature Yangtze gorges. The railroad tunneled through all the spurs. Yunnan No 26. km 3181000." A railroad tunnel is shown going through the edge of a mountain along a river.

Also included in the International Mission Photography Archive., This photo is from the papers of the Edward Huntington Smith family, missionaries serving the American Board of Commissioners for Foreign Missions in China, 1901-1950, primarily in Ing Tai and Foochow [Fuzhou]., and Written on the back of the photograph: " A typical mountain village. This was taken only two miles above our house. See the children under the banyan tree watching the foreigner taking the picture." Written on the front of the picture are the names of several Chinese persons and the phrase "by Gold."

Had just had a heavy snowfall and weather was bitterly cold. (Kansu Prov.)., and Mary W. Caldwell was a missionary serving under the American Presbyterian Mission, South in Taichow, Jiangsu province, who took a trip through Gansu province in 1926.
