A large, fierce tiger bursts through the flimsy canvas wall, the audience flee in wild confusion or fall to the ground, three men add to the confusion by carrying off sturdy women. On the stage a warrior with a drawn sword staggers back in terror; a shield with a Gorgon's head has fallen from the stage. There is a background of battlements and a bridge."--British Museum online catalogue.
