The symbol of the founding fathers of the Yale Historical Library. Three leaves on a stem. Originally designed by Arnold Klebs, who wrote: "...we ought to call it our trefoil solidarity and use as emblem the clover leaf ... and the inversely heart-shaped leaves ... are quite appropriate and nicely stamped on some of our beloved volumes..."
